Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign may have been spending the past week insisting there’s a conspiracy against them in the recording industry (despite still receiving enough streams for their album, Vultures 1, and its singles that they debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s albums chart even challenged Beyoncé for the top Hot 100 spot two weeks in a row), but that may not stop them from continuing to release new projects under the Vultures moniker. Early last week, Timbaland tweeted, “Vulture Vol 2 OTW,” prompting fans to speculate when a second installment......

Dame Dash has once again taken shots at longtime antagonist Lyor Cohen, this time over Young Thug.
During a recent sitdown with Math Hoffa for Dame’s America Nu Network, the Roc-A-Fella co-founder was asked whether the music industry “encourages toxic behavior.”
In answering, Dash brought up Young Thug, who is currently in jail while on trial for racketeering charges and whose songs were cited in his indictment.
Thug is on the roster of 300 Entertainment, a company co-founded by Cohen, a music industry veteran who, among many other positions, used to run Def Jam Records. Cohen left 300 in 2016.

Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator are among those to co-sign James Blake’s stark warning about the state of the music industry.
Over the weekend, the British singer/producer penned a number of social media posts about the financial state of the music industry and the struggles facing artists.
Originally commenting on how he never made any money from TikTok from his viral cover of Frank Ocean‘s “Godspeed”, Blake said: “It’s worth noting this is just an example I used in a post talking about the wider effect of TikTok on music. Just seeing this part makes it seem navel gazing but I’m......

Diddy has been trolled by 50 Cent after another sexual assault lawsuit was filed against the Bad Boy Records founder.
Lil Rod, a producer who worked with Diddy on his latest project The Love Album: Off the Grid, has accused the media mogul of sexual harassment as well as drugging and threatening him over the course of a year.
Puffy (real name Sean Combs) has vehemently denied the claims, with his lawyer Shawn Holley saying in a statement to HipHopDX: “Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday. His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more......

Joe Budden has a theory as to why the classic Def Jam Vendetta video game has never received a reboot.
Speaking to Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero on their 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, Budden — who appeared in the fan-favorite original alongside several other rappers — guessed that money issues were stopping a reboot from happening.
He said: “I’m not involved in those talks but I imagine that would be the hold up. Gaming is big. If the business is right, we should definitely do that. Music should have more of a presence in the video game world outside of n-ggas just going round your house for......

Cam’ron has been linked to a string of sought-after women since rising to fame over 20 years ago, but one person he’ll never hook up with is Erykah Badu.
On Tuesday’s (February 20) episode of his show with Ma$e, It Is What It Is, Killa Cam spoke about the neo-soul singer’s near-mystical effect on men and vowed to never fall under her spell.
While discussing NFL player CJ Stroud’s rumored relationship with Amber Rose, the Dipset rapper turned his attention to Badu who initially referred to her as “André 3000’s baby mom.”
“She’s a homie too but I......
Trick Daddy disagrees with Fat Joe‘s claim that he discovered the “Naan” rapper.
Back in 2022 during an appearance on My Expert Opinion, Joe claimed of Trick Daddy, “I took his shit and got him signed.” It was a take that, not long afterwards, got pushback from Uncle Luke, who also claimed involvement in Trick’s early career.
Now, Trick himself is having his say. He went on VladTV on Saturday (February 17), and suggested that Fat Joe might have embelleshed his tale.
“Fat Joe gotta be older than me,” he said. “Because I go to be forgetting things, but I never hallucinate. Fat Joe......
