Dame Dash has said he’s “happy” about Cam’ron and Ma$e rekindling their friendship and finding success together.
During a recent interview, the Roc-A-Fella co-founder reflected on previously managing the two Harlem rappers and praised their rapidly-rising sports talk show It Is What It Is.
“You know how happy that makes me? You know I used to manage them?” he said when asked about Cam and Ma$e’s repaired relationship. “To see this and them realize their potential, I always wanted them in front of cameras.
“Regardless of [bagging a bag], I’m just saying that they happy and that they finally gained the credit they deserve and it had to happen — pause — coming together and just being friends.”
He added: “And that’s all we’ve ever been. But Cam’ron, and to see them get the credit and do life after Hip Hop, that’s what I love to see.”
Ma$e isn’t the only rapper Cam’ron has mended fences with. Appearing on Million Dollaz Worth of Game in August 2022, he credited Dame Dash with inspiring him to squash his beef with JAY-Z.
“I was caught in the middle to be totally honest with you, because I didn’t want Dame [Dash] to feel a way,” he said. “I know they was going through they thing, but Dame had did something on the internet to where he kind of apologized to JAY-Z. … I was like, ‘If that’s where he at, cool.’
