Pharrell Williams has parlayed his role as the creative director of Louis Vuitton into a collaboration with another storied brand: Timberland.
The “Happy” rapper and producer took to Instagram on Thursday (January 11) to show off the first pair of kicks to come from the partnership. The trademark work boots — which are all but a fashion staple for every New York winter — have been modified to show off the signature LV pattern in the inside tongue of the shoe.
Pharrell, however, didn’t mention when, or where, the shoes would be available, or how much they would retail for.
Earlier this month, Pharrell enlisted the talents of LeBron James for his latest Louis Vuitton campaign — but not his basketball ability.
On January 4, the NBA superstar was officially unveiled as the face of the French luxury fashion house’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
In dapper photos and videos shared on social media, King James can be seen modeling a variety of garments and bags while strolling through city streets.
“LOUIS VUITTON BRON! LV Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 coming soon! LET’S GO!!!! [fire emoji, raised hands emoji],” the Los Angeles Lakers leader wrote in one Instagram post.
The new collection, which leverages the global influence and creativity of both Pharrell and LeBron, debuted at LV pop-up shops in New York and Los Angeles this week.
It’s not clear, though, whether Bron will be the face of this exclusive collaboration between LV and Timberland.
