Swizz Beatz has responded to Usher and Alicia Keys’ steamy moment at the Super Bowl while they performed their collaboration “My Boo.”
Swizz, who has been married to Keys since 2010, was seemingly aware of the internet chatter over the moment in which Usher placed his hands around the “No One” singer during his halftime show on Sunday night (February 11).
Swizz made it clear that he had no issue with the performance, writing on Instagram: “Y’all talking about the wrong damn thing !!! y’all don’t see that amazing dress covering the entire stadium.
“Tonight’s performance was nothing but amazing with 2 amazing Giants ! Congrats @usher and my love @aliciakeys that song is a classic. We don’t do negative vibes on this side we make history.”
Many fans watching the Super Bowl halftime show commented on the viral moment, with one person joking on social media: “Keke Palmer baby daddy somewhere talmbout ‘SEE!!?'”
Another said: “Hugging somebody wife this way is crazy, Usher just don’t gaf.”
“@USHER ENOUGH IS ENOUGH BRO‼️U NEED TO APOLOGIZE TO SWISS,” he wrote on Instagram. “SHE MARRIED MY N-GGA I KNOW THAT WASNT PLANNED.”
Undefeated world champion boxer Gervonta Davis also had a negative reaction, tweeting: “Usher would have been on his way to the hospital as I write this if I was Swizz.”
Alicia Keys wasn’t the only surprise guest to join Usher during his Super Bowl performance.
Ludacris and Lil Jon came out to perform their No. 1 hit “Yeah!” while Jermaine Dupri made a brief cameo to introduce “Confessions Part II.”
H.E.R. also appeared for a guitar solo and will.i.am helped Usher perform “OMG.”
The Super Bowl itself finished with the Kansas City Chiefs beating the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 25-22, with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes being named MVP for the second year running.
His first full-length offering in eight years, the massive 20-track project boasts collaborations with 21 Savage, Latto, Summer Walker, Burna Boy and H.E.R., among others.
