Young Thug is trying to gain back some of his possessions along with his freedom — in particular, a bunch of cash, some jewelry, and a number of cars.
Atlanta’s WSB-TV reports that Thugger was scheduled to have a hearing on Friday (February 21) on the issue of getting back the above items, which were seized when he was arrested in May, 2022 as part of the YSL racketeering case. The rapper’s hearing, however, has been canceled.
The cars seized, according to court records, include: a 2021 Dodge Durango, a 2022 Porsche 911, a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS Maybach, a 2015 Can-Am Spyder and a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette.
In other Young Thug news, he recently chopped it up on the phone with Max B, with the Coke Wave rapper plotting moves for after his release from prison.
Max (real name Charley Wingate) is set to become a free man on November 9 this year, and Thug appears to be central to his post-prison plans.
In a snippet of a prison phone call between the two men, Max B tells Thugger: “Man, I’m in here grinding this shit out… Hell yeah, we ’bout to hit the home stretch, baby.”
He then asks: “Wassup? We gon’ make some history?” seemingly referring to a collaboration.
Last year, Max phoned into Joe Budden‘s podcast to detail what he has planned for when he is released from prison less than a year from now.
Listen, I’m not going to put myself in a box,” he said. “I can’t wait to get in the studio. There’s a lot of artists out there, too many to name. I’m looking forward to working with the big names, the head honchos.
“I’m not going to put myself in a box. I’m open for all that but they gotta be A-list. I’m fucking with A-list. If this shit ain’t A-list, I can’t fuck with it.”
