JAY-Z has taken the proper steps to ensure that whoever ends up acquiring Dame Dash‘s shares of Roc-A-Fella Records understands what will happen to the biggest asset included in the sale.
In a legal document uncovered by TMZ Hip Hop, Hov’s attorneys have notified the courts that once the legendary imprint’s ownership of the copyright on Reasonable Doubt ends in 2031, those rights will revert to “one Shawn Carter/”JAY-Z.”

Lauryn Hill and the Fugees have abruptly pulled the plug on their U.S. tour, just days before it was scheduled to begin.
On Tuesday (August 6), the dates were removed from Ticketmaster and Live Nation, with ticketholders also receiving cancelation and refund notices.
An explanation for the cancelations has yet to be given and neither Hill nor the Fugees have commented on the matter.
The 18-date tour, part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of Hill’s debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, was set to begin on Friday (Auugust 9) in Tampa, FL.

Nelly was arrested this week for possession of four ecstasy pills, as well as driving without insurance, but he has since been released.
According to TMZ, the “Country Grammar” rapper was pulled over in a suburb just outside of his hometown of St. Louis early Wednesday morning (August 7). He was released a short time after.
His mugshot shows bloodshot eyes, but is otherwise nondescript. You can view it below.

T.I. found himself in handcuffs over the weekend in an unfortunate case of mistaken identity.
According to TMZ, the rap legend was arrested at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on Sunday night (August 4) after police mistook him for a stalking suspect.
The culprit they were after, who also happens to be called Clifford Harris, was wanted in Baltimore, Maryland on allegations of stalking and violent behavior towards a woman, possibly involving a gun.

Vybz Kartel has received a warm welcome home from some of Hip Hop’s biggest names, including Drake, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
The dancehall legend was released from prison on Wednesday (July 31) after Jamaica’s Court of Appeals upheld his overturned murder conviction. He had spent 13 years behind bars.
